Karachi Introduces E-Challan System for Lane Violations on Shahrah-e-Faisal

Karachi:The Traffic Police have started issuing electronic challans (e-challans) for lane violations on Shahrah-e-Faisal from today as part of efforts to improve traffic discipline and road safety.
According to a Traffic Police spokesperson, the initiative has initially been launched on Shahrah-e-Faisal and will gradually be expanded to other major roads across the city in the future.
Authorities have urged motorists to strictly follow lane discipline, emphasizing that motorcycles, cars, buses, and other vehicles must remain within their designated lanes while driving.
The spokesperson said that a public awareness campaign had already been conducted to educate citizens about the new system. Officials also stressed that road users should act responsibly and comply with traffic regulations.
Traffic Police officials believe that enforcing lane discipline through the e-challan system will help improve traffic flow and reduce the risk of road accidents, making Karachi’s roads safer for all commuters.
