Iranian President Holds Telephone Conversation with PM Shehbaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD/TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which he emphasized Iran’s commitment to diplomacy.
According to foreign media reports, President Pezeshkian said in a statement that he had spoken with the prime ministers of Pakistan and Malaysia to extend Eid-ul-Adha greetings.
He stated that during the conversations, Iran’s commitment to diplomatic engagement was highlighted. The Iranian president also appreciated Pakistan’s effective efforts and mediatory role in reaching an agreement.
President Pezeshkian said Iran’s policy is to strengthen cooperation with Muslim and neighboring countries in all sectors. He further thanked Malaysia for adopting a humanitarian stance on the issue.
