President Approves National Assembly Budget Session, Senate Meeting on June 5

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the summoning of the National Assembly’s budget session on Friday, June 5, at 5:00 pm, while the Senate session will be held the same day at 6:00 pm.

The federal budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 will be presented during the National Assembly session.

Officials said that the agendas for both the National Assembly and Senate sessions are expected to be issued in the coming days.

Pakistan’s upcoming federal budget is being prepared in consultation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and most key matters have reportedly been finalized.

The federal government has also prepared several proposals for increasing salaries and pensions for government employees and pensioners in the next fiscal year’s budget.
