Temporary Closure of NADRA Awami Markaz Karachi for Renovation — Mobile Unit Deployed for Public Convenience

Karachi:Citizens of Karachi are advised to brace for temporary disruptions in identity registration services as the **NADRA Registration Center at Awami Markaz** will remain **closed from July 14 (Monday) to July 27 (Sunday), 2025**, due to ongoing renovation and expansion work.

According to an official statement issued by NADRA’s **Regional Head Office Karachi**, the closure is part of a planned upgrade to improve service efficiency and infrastructure at one of the city’s busiest registration centers.

To ensure continuity of service during the closure, NADRA has **deployed a Mobile Registration Van** in the vicinity of Awami Markaz. Citizens are encouraged to utilize this facility for CNIC applications, renewals, and other registration needs.

NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority), a critical government body responsible for civil registration in Pakistan, was established in 2000 and plays a key role in issuing **Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs)**—mandatory for all Pakistani citizens aged 18 and above.

Citizens are advised to plan accordingly and seek services at nearby NADRA centers or the temporary mobile unit during this period to avoid inconvenience.
