Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Chinese Foreign Minister in Beijing; Pakistan-China Ties Strengthened

Islamabad (KNN) — Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held an important meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister in Beijing, where both sides discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and strategic cooperation in detail.

According to the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, reflecting the long-standing and strong friendship between the two countries.

The spokesperson stated that the friendship between China and Pakistan has always remained “strong as a rock” and unbreakable regardless of changing global circumstances.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized further expanding economic, defense, and strategic cooperation between the two countries. China also reaffirmed its continued support for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other joint projects.

The Chinese Foreign Minister praised the role of the Pakistan Army and said Pakistan has always played an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation. China described Pakistan as a reliable partner in the region.

The spokesperson also welcomed the visits of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China, stating that these visits would further strengthen relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting is being viewed as an important development in promoting Pakistan-China relations and is expected to open new avenues for regional cooperation and strategic partnership.
