Five Killed in Quetta Firing Incident Over Land Dispute, Family Blocks Road in Protest

Quetta: At least five people were killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on a house in the Kachi Baig area of Quetta, police and local sources confirmed.

According to police, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Kachi Baig police station, reportedly over a land dispute. The victims were identified as Muhammad Yousaf, Parvez, Asif, Tahir, and a woman identified as Bibi (S).

Police reached the scene shortly after the incident and collected evidence. Officials said a case has been registered against nominated suspects, and raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest the perpetrators. An investigation into the incident is ongoing from all angles.

Following the incident, the victims’ relatives placed the bodies on Sariab Road and staged a protest, blocking traffic and causing the road to remain closed for commuters.

Authorities are in contact with the protestors as efforts continue to restore traffic flow and maintain order in the area.
