11 Killed, 7 Injured in Swat Expressway Collision Near Peshawar

Peshawar: At least 11 people were killed after a speeding van collided with a passenger bus on the Swat Expressway, authorities said.

According to motorway police, the traffic accident occurred near Ismaila, where seven other passengers were also injured. Rescue teams shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police officials said preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to negligence on the part of the van driver.

Authorities added that the bodies of the deceased would be handed over to their families after completion of legal formalities.
