Fuel Prices Remain High Despite Recent Cuts, Diesel Still Up by Over Rs 49 in One Month

Islamabad: The federal government increased petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices three times and reduced them twice over the past month, according to official records.

Despite the recent consecutive reductions, citizens are still purchasing petrol and diesel at prices exceeding Rs 400 per litre.

Official documents show that high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 61.16 per litre during the month, while total reductions amounted to only Rs 11.80 per litre.

After adjusting for the reductions, the net increase in the price of high-speed diesel remains Rs 49.36 per litre over the past month.
