PML-N MPA Allegedly Wanted to Marry Actress Momina Iqbal at All Costs

Lahore: Lawyers of actress Momina Iqbal have stated that a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of Provincial Assembly allegedly wanted to marry her at all costs and had even sent a formal marriage proposal.

According to details reported by a private TV channel, Momina Iqbal’s legal team claimed that the actress and PML-N MPA Saqib Chaddar had a relationship between 2022 and 2023.

The lawyers further alleged that the MPA was already married and intended to marry the actress as his third wife. They said that after learning about his existing marriages, Momina Iqbal ended the relationship on ethical grounds.

The statement further claimed that tensions escalated when the actress’s marriage was arranged elsewhere, after which she was allegedly subjected to harassment. It was also alleged that the MPA misused his political influence and registered a case against the actress’s would-be husband.

The legal team stated that evidence related to harassment, threats, and alleged blackmail has been submitted to NCCIA officials.

On the other hand, the lawyer of the PML-N MPA, Mian Ali Ashfaq, said after appearing before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) that Muhammad Saqib and Momina Iqbal first met in 2021 and maintained a long-term relationship, which at one stage was close to marriage.

He alleged that the complainant had maintained close contact and mutual visits for years and later filed an online harassment case.

The lawyer further said that important evidence regarding their relationship will be presented in the coming days, which, according to him, will clarify the matter and surprise the public.
