Ameesha Patel Gives Clear Answer About Marriage, Surprises Fans
MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has given a candid response to questions about marriage, telling fans that she has no plans to get married and is extremely happy with her life as it is.
The 51-year-old actress recently answered questions from fans during an “Ask Ameesha” session on X. When a user asked when she planned to get married, Ameesha responded without hesitation that she did not intend to marry and was content living independently.
Ameesha said she has around 100 close relatives and friends who love and care for her deeply. She explained that she was not willing to risk her peaceful and happy life for the possibility that one person could change it.
She Once Chose Career Over Love
Interestingly, Ameesha has not always completely ruled out the possibility of marriage.
During an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube podcast, the actress spoke about a serious relationship she had before beginning her film career.
According to Ameesha, her former partner belonged to a prominent industrial family in South Mumbai, and the two shared similar family backgrounds, education and lifestyles. However, he was unhappy with her decision to enter the film industry.
Ameesha said she eventually had to choose between love and her career and decided to pursue her dreams.

She acknowledged that she lost a lot as a result of the decision but also learned important lessons, saying that people sometimes have to make emotional sacrifices for their future.
Marriage Is Not Completely Off the Table
Although Ameesha says she is happy being single, she has not completely closed the door on love or marriage.
The actress said she could consider marriage if she met someone trustworthy who accepted her in every situation and was emotionally and mentally mature.
She also revealed that she continues to receive marriage proposals from well-established families, while younger men sometimes ask her out on dates.
For Ameesha, age is less important in a relationship than emotional maturity, mutual understanding and compatibility.
Vikram Bhatt Relationship Was Widely Discussed
Ameesha Patel has been linked with several personalities in the past, but her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt received the most attention.
Her latest comments make it clear that the actress currently places greater importance on independence, peace of mind and a fulfilling life than on traditional expectations surrounding marriage.
