Punjab Imposes Section 144 Around Airports and Airbases for Flight Safety

Lahore: The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 around airports and airbases across the province to ensure aviation safety and security.

According to the Punjab Home Department, the restrictions have been introduced to protect airbases and airports and will remain in effect for 30 days across the province.

Under the notification, activities such as pigeon flying, use of laser lights, and dumping of animal waste or meat have been strictly prohibited in and around sensitive aviation zones.

Officials said the decision was taken to safeguard human lives and property, as these activities can pose serious risks and disruptions to flight operations and aviation safety.

The order also applies to the limits of all commercial airports across Punjab, where similar restrictions will remain enforced during the stipulated period.
