Summer Vacations Announced in Federal Educational Institutions, Official Notification Issued

Islamabad – The federal government has officially announced summer vacations for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction, including model schools, colleges, and other government-run institutes in Islamabad.
According to the notification, summer holidays will be observed from May 25, 2026, to July 31, 2026. Educational institutions will reopen on August 3, 2026.
Authorities stated that the decision was taken in view of the extreme heat conditions and to ensure the well-being and comfort of students during the summer season.
The notification further clarified that while classes will remain suspended, heads of institutions and administrative staff will continue to perform their duties. Office timings for administrative staff have been set from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to ensure the continuity of essential work.
Officials also announced that special coaching classes will be arranged for students of classes 10 and 11 during June and July. These sessions aim to support students’ academic preparation and help them perform better in upcoming examinations.
In addition, schools will utilize the vacation period for maintenance work, training workshops, and administrative planning activities. Education stakeholders have welcomed the decision, calling it timely and reassuring for parents and students.
