Punjab Intensifies Intelligence-Based Search Operations, 55 Suspects Arrested

In light of the prevailing security situation, intelligence-based search operations have been intensified across Punjab. Within 24 hours, a total of 343 search and combing operations were carried out, during which 55 suspicious individuals were taken into custody.
According to the spokesperson for Punjab Police, during the 24-hour intelligence-based operations, 8,600 suspicious individuals were checked. As a result, 55 suspects were arrested, including three proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes. Among the arrested individuals were 141 judicial absconders and 62 habitual criminals. The police also recovered illegal weapons and ammunition from the detained suspects.
During these operations, three robbers were killed, and one was wounded and arrested.
Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Usman Anwar, stated that the crackdown on criminal elements will continue, with ongoing operations involving Punjab Police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, Elite Force, Rescue 1122, and other law enforcement agencies.
