Efforts Underway for Recovery of Gwadar University Vice Chancellor and Staff, Says Babar Yousafzai

Quetta (Kudrat News) — Special Assistant to the Balochistan Home Minister, Babar Yousafzai, has said that intensive efforts are underway for the safe recovery of the Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, the Pro Vice Chancellor, and other staff members, while Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti is personally monitoring the situation.

Speaking to the media in Quetta, Babar Yousafzai said that Gwadar University Vice Chancellor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Manzoor Ahmed, and other staff members were abducted on May 13 while traveling from Gwadar to Quetta near the Khad Kocha area.

He stated that the provincial government is utilizing all available resources to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted teachers and staff and is standing firmly with their families. He expressed hope that the hostages would be recovered soon.

Babar Yousafzai also termed reports regarding the abduction of 17 laborers from Noshki as unverified, saying that no such incident had come to the government’s notice.

He further said that Balochistan is currently facing serious security challenges and alleged that Indian proxies are attempting to destabilize peace in the province on India’s instructions. According to him, security threats emerge on a daily basis, but security forces are successfully countering them in time.

The special assistant expressed optimism that the law and order situation in Balochistan would improve further in the coming days.
