Jacobabad (Kudrat News) — Significant progress has been made in the case involving the burning of dozens of houses in Village Muhammad Siddiq Arain over a love marriage dispute, as two tribal leaders appeared before the court while the hearing was adjourned until June 3. Meanwhile, police have arrested four more suspects in the case.

According to details, the hearing of the case related to the arson incident in Tehsil Thul’s Village Muhammad Siddiq Arain was held in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Attaullah Mahar. Advocate for the victims, Nisar Mighri, requested the inclusion of names of Sardar Sardar Sadiq Hussain Buriro and Sardar Ahmed Ali Channa in the case.

During the hearing, both sardars appeared before the court, while a large number of members from both communities were also present. Due to increasing crowd inside the courtroom, a ban was imposed on the use of mobile phones.

According to the lawyer of the accused, Muzaffar Rand, the court granted exemption from personal appearance to both sardars and adjourned the hearing until June 3.

On the other hand, the victims’ lawyer stated that Ghulam Shabir Buriro had filed an application under Section 22-A in the District and Sessions Court, requesting the inclusion of three individuals, including both sardars, in the case.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, Sardar Sadiq Hussain Buriro and Sardar Ahmed Ali Channa rejected the allegations against them, stating that their names had been falsely included in the case. They denied any involvement in the burning of houses and said they expect justice as the matter is now before the court.

Meanwhile, SSP Jacobabad Faizan Ali confirmed that police have arrested four more suspects in the village arson case. The arrested individuals include Gul Hassan Channa, Abid Hussain Channa, Munir Ahmed Channa, and Khadim Hussain Channa.

The SSP further said that raids are continuing at various locations using modern technology to arrest other nominated suspects. So far, the total number of arrested individuals in the case has reached 10.

It is worth mentioning that on May 5, over a love marriage dispute, angry individuals attacked Village Muhammad Siddiq Arain and set dozens of houses on fire, rendering several families homeless. Police have stated that all those involved will be brought to justice.
