Major Revelations Emerge During Interrogation of Alleged Drug Dealer ‘Pinky’

Karachi: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has begun interrogating alleged “Queen of Cocaine” suspect Anmol alias Pinky, with investigators claiming that important revelations have surfaced during the inquiry.
According to SIU sources, investigators questioned Pinky about the alleged involvement of police officers and personnel accused of providing protection to her drug network.
Sources said a list of police officials allegedly receiving bribes from the suspect has been prepared. Initial investigations reportedly found no evidence of involvement by SIU officials themselves; however, around 12 police officers and personnel are alleged to have been receiving payments.
The list reportedly includes police personnel from Karachi’s South district. South Police have also started preparations to re-interrogate Pinky’s alleged associate, Sameer, and authorities are expected to approach the court again to obtain his physical remand.
Investigators stated that Pinky allegedly used Sameer’s bank account along with several benami (proxy) accounts for financial transactions. They claimed that Rs900,000 was withdrawn from Sameer’s account a few days ago.
Authorities have also obtained details of 35 online riders allegedly linked to the drug network, including 10 individuals from Punjab. According to officials, 17 out of 25 alleged drug-supplying riders have been taken into custody at different times.
SSP SIU Dr. Samiullah confirmed that the SIU has interrogated Anmol alias Pinky and said investigators are examining all aspects of the alleged narcotics network. He added that the suspect has made several important disclosures during questioning.
