Passenger Arrested in Karachi for Attempting to Travel on Fake Train Tickets

KARACHI: Railway authorities in Karachi have arrested a passenger and registered a case after he attempted to travel using counterfeit train tickets.

According to a spokesperson of Pakistan Railways, the accused was taken into custody after presenting two fake tickets and attempting to obtain a third one from the Karachi Cantt reservation office.

The spokesperson said the suspect referred to Economy Coach No. 10 of the Green Line service; however, officials clarified that no such Economy Class coach exists in the Green Line Express.

Initial investigations revealed that the accused had allegedly prepared two fake tickets using a laptop and came to the reservation office to acquire a valid ticket on the basis of those forged documents.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
