153 Days on, Kurram District’s Main Road Remains Closed, Causing Severe Hardship for Locals

The main road connecting Tilla to Parachinar in Kurram District has been closed for 153 days, with the government still unable to reopen it.

The ongoing blockade has led to a shortage of essential items such as food, petrol, and medicines, causing severe distress for the residents. The situation has worsened during Ramadan, with fasting individuals facing even greater difficulties.

Residents of Parachinar have begun staging protests in various parts of the region. They express frustration, stating that they were already struggling due to the lack of food and now have to break their fasts with only water.

Additionally, power outages during Sehri have further compounded the hardships faced by the people of Parachinar and surrounding areas. The locals are urging the government to address the situation urgently.
