Firing Incident Reported at Residence of Former Punjab Governor Latif Khosa’s Son

LAHORE: Unknown assailants opened fire at the residence of Balkh Sher Khosa, son of former Punjab governor Latif Khosa, in Lahore’s Defence Phase 6 area, according to a police complaint filed on Sunday.

Balkh Sher Khosa stated in his application submitted to the Defence police station that the attack took place when he arrived home late at night. He said two men riding a motorcycle allegedly opened fire at his residence and attempted to force their way inside the house.

He further stated that police were informed through the emergency helpline 15 immediately after the incident.

In his complaint, Balkh Sher Khosa, who is also a Supreme Court lawyer, recalled that he had previously survived a firing incident in Lahore’s Muslim Town area in 2023, during which he sustained a bullet injury. He requested authorities to provide him with security protection.

The SHO of Defence-C confirmed that a case is being registered and that an investigation into the incident will begin shortly.
