Saudi Ministry of Interior Issues Key Guidelines for Hajj 2026 Pilgrims

Makkah: The Saudi Ministry of Interior has issued a comprehensive guide for Hajj 2026, aimed at ensuring the safety, comfort, and proper guidance of pilgrims performing the annual pilgrimage in Mecca.

According to officials, the purpose of the guidelines is to provide a safe, organized, and peaceful environment for the “Guests of Allah,” enabling them to perform Hajj rituals with ease and convenience.

The advisory includes detailed instructions regarding entry and exit points of the Grand Mosque, as well as designated routes for Tawaf (circumambulation of the Kaaba) and Sa’i between Safa and Marwa. These measures are designed to streamline movement and prevent overcrowding inside Masjid al-Haram.

The guidelines also specify separate pathways for wheelchair and electric wheelchair users. Authorities emphasized that the Sa’i corridor is strictly reserved for pilgrims performing Sa’i, and sitting or blocking the passage is prohibited.

Pilgrims have been urged to wear face masks during peak crowd hours and strictly follow health and safety protocols. The ministry stated that maintaining discipline will help ensure better services and smoother crowd management.

Authorities confirmed that strict action and penalties will be taken against those attempting to enter the holy sites without authorization. The Saudi government reiterated that all relevant agencies are actively working to improve Hajj arrangements and urged pilgrims to fully comply with official instructions to avoid any violations.
