Woman Suspect “Anmol Pinky” Accuses Police of Torture in Karachi Court

Karachi: Female suspect Anmol alias Pinky was presented before a local court in Karachi under tight security after completion of her physical remand, where she leveled serious allegations against the police and investigating authorities.

During the hearing, Anmol Pinky cried out in court, claiming that she had been subjected to torture and falsely implicated in multiple cases. She told the court that she was forcibly brought from Lahore by six men who allegedly abducted her in a vehicle before handing her over to police after 15 days.

The accused further alleged that narcotics were falsely planted on her and that she was being pressured to name certain individuals during interrogation. “I have been treated unjustly and forced to confess against people,” she told the court.

Officials from the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), including the investigating officer, were present in court seeking further physical remand of the suspect for additional investigation.

According to the investigating officer, Anmol Pinky had been declared an absconder in a case registered in 2025 and had long been wanted by law enforcement agencies. Police stated that her alleged rider was arrested from Karachi’s Central District during an operation, leading to further developments in the investigation.

Police requested the court to grant additional remand to collect crucial evidence and continue interrogation. Investigators also informed the court that requests for remand in 11 additional cases registered against the suspect at different police stations would also be filed.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court initiated proceedings on the police request, while the accused was escorted back under strict security. Police said investigations are ongoing and further progress is expected soon.
