Karachi Drug Case: Accused Anmol Alias Pinky Appears in Court Amid Heavy Security

KARACHI: Accused Anmol alias Pinky was presented before a court in Karachi under tight security after completing her physical remand.
During the hearing, the accused leveled serious allegations against the police, claiming she had been subjected to torture and falsely implicated in multiple cases. She stated that she was brought from Lahore, held for several days, and pressured into naming individuals. She further alleged that drugs were forcibly placed on her and that she was being framed in fabricated cases.
The accused also claimed that she was transported by six individuals and kept in custody for 15 days before being handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) appeared in court seeking an extension of the physical remand to continue interrogation and recover further evidence.
The IO informed the court that the accused had been declared a fugitive in a 2025 case and had been evading law enforcement for a long time. He added that during earlier operations, the suspect’s rider was arrested from District Central, which led to further expansion of the investigation.
Police requested additional physical remand, stating it was necessary to gather crucial evidence. Officials also revealed that they plan to seek remand in a total of 11 cases registered across different police stations in the city.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court proceeded with the case, while the accused was taken back into custody under strict security arrangements. Police said the investigation is ongoing and further developments are expected.
