“BAP Does Not Merge with Anyone; People Merge into BAP,” Says Nawabzada Khalid Magsi

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Federal Minister for Science and Technology and central president of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Nawabzada Khalid Magsi, has stated that “BAP does not merge into any party; rather, people merge into BAP,” emphasizing that the party remains intact and will continue to play an important role in the future.
He made these remarks while speaking to the media at the Governor House Quetta on Wednesday, alongside Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail. Provincial Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gello, Parliamentary Secretary Muhammad Khan Lehri, and MPA Kulsoom Niaz Baloch were also present on the occasion.
Khalid Magsi said that BAP has gone through challenging times but has remained stable, adding that people may leave and join parties, but the party itself continues to exist. He expressed confidence that BAP will continue to play a significant role in the province’s political landscape.
Commenting on reports of a power-sharing agreement in Balochistan, he said that such matters are between two major political parties and he has no official knowledge of them, though he has also heard such discussions. He added that only those parties can confirm the authenticity of these claims.
He further said that spreading rumors is not beneficial for the province, as political uncertainty diverts attention from important issues. “Such uncertainty is not a good omen,” he added.
Responding to a question, Magsi said that due to security concerns, it has become difficult to visit various areas freely as was previously possible.
