Imran Khan’s Future Is in His Own Hands, Says Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD (News Report) — Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that the future of former Prime Minister Imran Khan depends on his own actions and political approach.
Speaking to Geo News at Parliament House, Rana Sanaullah said that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had pursued confrontation instead of politics throughout his political career.
“If he is truly a politician, then my advice to him is to do politics,” he said.
“His own approach led him here”
Rana Sanaullah stated that Imran Khan’s current situation was the result of his own political style and decisions.
“A political leader cannot move forward through confrontation alone,” he remarked, adding that Imran Khan’s future remains in his own hands.
Concerns over terrorism from Afghanistan
The senior PML-N leader also commented on regional security issues, urging Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used for terrorism.
He claimed that many terrorist incidents in Pakistan were linked to elements operating from Afghanistan and alleged that terrorist training centers existed there.
According to him, targeted operations had been conducted against terrorist hideouts.
PML-N parliamentary board meeting
Rana Sanaullah further revealed that a meeting of the parliamentary board of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was held under the chairmanship of Nawaz Sharif.
He said a subcommittee had been formed to review candidates and ticket distribution, while the final decisions regarding party tickets and candidates would be made by Nawaz Sharif.
Remarks on decision-making and cabinet responsibility
The adviser added that most decisions related to national security were currently being made through consultation between the military and political leadership.
Commenting on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Rana Sanaullah said that cabinet members carry collective responsibility and anyone objecting to their decisions should present their concerns openly.
