Rain Brings Pleasant Weather Across KP and AJK, While Heatwave Persists in Sindh

Heavy and light rainfall across several regions of Pakistan has brought a pleasant change in weather, while some areas continue to face disruptions due to landslides and flooding.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain was recorded in multiple districts including Mansehra, Swat, and Malakand. The showers significantly improved weather conditions in these mountainous regions.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, areas including Muzaffarabad, Nikial, and Neelum Valley also received moderate to heavy rainfall. However, a major road at Marnaat point was blocked due to a landslide, disrupting traffic flow.
Meanwhile, water flow in Nala Jagraan caused the shutdown of the Kundal Shahi Hydropower Plant, leading to power outages in several nearby areas. In Lower Kohistan, near Jijal, the Karakoram Highway was also closed due to rain-induced landslides.
In contrast, hot and dry conditions persisted in the plains of Sindh, where a severe heatwave continues to affect daily life.
However, residents of Islamabad and Lahore experienced light rainfall, which brought relief from the rising temperatures and made the weather more pleasant.
