Trump Hopes for Extended Russia-Ukraine Ceasefire, Says Hantavirus Situation Under Control

Washington: US President Donald Trump said he hopes the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine will last longer than three days, stressing that he wants a complete end to the war.
Speaking to the media, President Trump said thousands of soldiers are being killed every month in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and emphasized his determination to stop the bloodshed.
“I would like to see a major extension in the ceasefire. The three-day truce is only a beginning, and I want this war to end completely,” Trump stated.
The US president also revealed that he had received a briefing regarding the hantavirus situation. He said top-level experts are currently studying the virus and expressed confidence that the situation is largely under control.
“We hope it is very much contained. Highly qualified experts are examining the hantavirus, and everything will be fine,” he added.
Trump further said that the United States is expecting a response from Iran soon regarding proposals related to a ceasefire arrangement.
It is worth mentioning that President Trump had earlier announced a three-day ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
