Daanish Schools Network to Expand Across Pakistan, Talented Youth Are Nation’s Pride: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad (Khabar Desk) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the network of Daanish Schools will be expanded across the country to provide quality and equal educational opportunities to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Addressing students in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister said that talented youth are Pakistan’s greatest asset and a source of national pride. He stated that the government aims to provide modern education, improved facilities, and equal opportunities to capable students despite financial hardships.
Shehbaz Sharif said that when the Daanish Schools project was first launched in Punjab, it faced criticism, but today the institutions are providing quality education to thousands of deserving students. He added that the same model is now being expanded nationwide so children across Pakistan can benefit equally.
The Prime Minister directed authorities to equip all Daanish Schools with modern facilities, including smart classrooms, e-libraries, and digital learning systems. He emphasized that hard work, honesty, and merit are essential for national progress.
Referring to the laptop scheme, he said the laptops were awarded purely on merit and special priority was given to intelligent students from financially weak families. He also praised teachers and parents for their role in students’ success.
Speaking about Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister described the region as rich in natural beauty and said the government is paying special attention to educational and energy projects there.
He further announced that Daanish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan would be upgraded with modern facilities, while a 100-megawatt solar energy project is expected to be completed next year. In addition, free solar panels will be distributed to 15,000 households through a digital balloting system.
The Prime Minister concluded by saying that Pakistan’s progress depends on educating and empowering the younger generation, and the government will continue taking every possible step toward that goal.
