Three Police Personnel Suspended in Quetta Over Alleged Bribery from Students

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Quetta Imran Shaukat has taken strict action after an incident involving alleged bribery from students, suspending three personnel of the Eagle Squad.
According to police officials, action was initiated against the officers over misuse of authority. The suspended personnel include Constable Muhibullah, Constable Adil Rasheed, and Constable Taj Muhammad, who were deployed in the city area.
Officials said the officers allegedly extorted Rs. 7,500 from two underage motorbike-riding students, identified as Faizan Imran and Aftab Ahmed.
The incident came to light when it was reported to a mobile patrol team of the City Police, prompting an investigation. During inquiry, the students confirmed the allegations, leading to further scrutiny of the case.
Following the verification of charges, authorities suspended all three officers and registered a case against them.
DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat stated that under the department’s internal accountability system, no official is allowed to misuse authority, and strict action will be taken against such incidents to ensure transparency and public trust in the police force.
