Punjab Government to Release Salaries Before Eid for Employees and Pensioners

Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to release salaries and pensions to government employees before Eid-ul-Adha, bringing relief to thousands of workers and pensioners across the province.
According to official sources, the Punjab Finance Department has issued a notification in this regard and directed all relevant departments to ensure timely disbursement of payments.
As per the notification, salaries and pensions for the month of May will be released on May 21.
The government has also instructed the State Bank of Pakistan and commercial banks to ensure the smooth and timely implementation of the decision so that employees and pensioners can benefit from financial convenience ahead of Eid.
Officials said the early payment aims to facilitate public servants and pensioners during the festive season and help them manage their Eid-related expenses more easily.
