NADRA Issues New Guidelines for CNIC and B-Form Applicants

Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority has issued an advisory urging citizens to update their identity documents and children’s registration forms before potential fee increases following the upcoming federal budget.
According to the authority, citizens are advised to renew expired Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and complete registration of children’s B-Forms by June 30, 2026, to avoid possible financial penalties.
NADRA stated that changes in the fee structure, including possible increases, are expected after the announcement of the fiscal year 2026–27 budget, which could make documentation services more expensive.
Officials particularly emphasized that parents should ensure timely registration of children. They also advised that documents of children who have reached the eligible age for Smart ID cards should be updated immediately.
The authority warned that citizens who fail to comply within the stipulated time may face additional charges or penalties. It urged the public to complete all necessary documentation at the earliest to avoid inconvenience and extra costs.
