Bilawal Bhutto Calls “Battle of Truth” a Golden Chapter in Pakistan’s History

Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the “Battle of Truth” (Marka-e-Haq) a golden chapter in Pakistan’s history, marking the first anniversary of its success at a commemorative event held in Karachi.
The ceremony, organized by the Sindh government at a private hotel, was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, lawmakers, senior civil and military officials, business leaders, and other dignitaries. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a documentary highlighting the success of the operation.
Addressing the gathering, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the victory reflected national unity and determination. He claimed that Pakistan had delivered a strong response to India and demonstrated resilience and cohesion as a nation.
He emphasized that the success was not just due to military strength but also the courage and resolve of the people, adding that the entire nation stood united from the northern mountains to the Arabian Sea.
Bilawal further stated that Pakistan has always preferred peace over conflict but remains prepared to defend itself when necessary. He also criticized attempts by certain elements to distort history through propaganda, asserting that Pakistan has consistently stood firm in challenging times.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, in his speech, said that India had cast hostile intentions toward Pakistan a year ago but received a swift response. He reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country but is fully capable of defending its sovereignty.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon also praised the armed forces for giving a strong response to the enemy, calling the day of victory a moment of pride and celebration for the entire nation. He added that Pakistan remains a strong and resilient state capable of safeguarding its interests.
