250 Houses Rebuilt for Flood Victims in Five Cities of Balochistan, Keys Handed Over to Affected Families

Balochistan to Establish a Grand Institution for Orphaned Children: Chief Minister Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti

Quetta: The construction of 250 houses for flood-affected families in five cities of Balochistan, including Quetta, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, and Sohbatpur, has been completed and the keys have been handed over to the victims. The Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust played a crucial role in the construction of these homes. The houses were handed over in a formal ceremony where the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti, addressed the gathering.
In his speech, the Chief Minister emphasized that assisting flood victims is a noble act of selfless service to humanity. He commended the efforts of the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust and stated that such organizations bring hope to the people.
Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti urged the federal government to transfer the responsibility of Balochistan’s rehabilitation projects to the provincial government. He expressed confidence that the project could be completed within 8 to 9 months through a public-private partnership. He further called for the construction of homes for flood victims, similar to the model in Sindh, to provide immediate relief.
The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of a grand institution for orphaned children in Balochistan, with the provincial government offering land free of charge for the project. He acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust for their selfless service in assisting the people of Balochistan.
During the ceremony, the Chairman of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust, Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar, presented detailed information about the Trust’s services. The event was also attended by provincial ministers, including Mir Muhammad Saleem Khan Khoso, Mir Asim Kurd Gelo, Parliamentary Secretary Haji Barkat Rand, Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Iqbal Shah, Vice Chairman of Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade Bilawal Khan Kakar, Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafqat, and other senior officials.
In his concluding remarks, the Chief Minister stated that Balochistan is changing and expressed his commitment to leading the province toward a path of development. He also praised all donors, philanthropists, volunteers, and personalities who contributed to this humanitarian effort.
