JUI-F Will Not Bow to Pressure or External Agendas,” Says Maulana Abdul Waseh

Quetta – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Balochistan leaders, including Senator Maulana Abdul Waseh and General Secretary Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah, have said that the party will not compromise its principles for power, privileges, or external pressure.
In a joint statement, the leaders warned that those who trade principles for authority and benefits should remember that JUI-F is an ideological force that will not bow before pressure, temptation, or any foreign agenda.
They strongly rejected government actions, particularly any measures against religious seminaries (madaris), describing them as unacceptable. The leadership emphasized that religious seminaries are ideological, religious, and cultural strongholds of the country, and any action against them would not be tolerated.
The statement further said that any attempt to pressure religious scholars or weaken religious institutions would be met with a strong response at all levels. The party reiterated its history of struggle, resilience, and resistance, stating that it has always stood firm against oppression and will continue to do so.
The JUI-F leadership warned that if any action is taken against seminaries under external influence or “Western-backed agendas,” the government will be fully responsible for the consequences.
They also announced that a strong public protest movement would be launched, including rallies, demonstrations, and other democratic means, to defend religious institutions.
The leaders urged the government to immediately halt any actions against madaris, ensure respect and protection for religious scholars, and resolve issues through meaningful dialogue instead of force. They reaffirmed that JUI-F Balochistan will not retreat from its ideological stance or the defense of public and religious rights under any circumstances.
