Animal Cruelty Incidents Reported in Rajanpur and Jacobabad; Probe Launched Into Viral Lion Skinning Video

Rajanpur/Jacobabad/Lahore:** Multiple incidents of alleged animal cruelty have been reported from different parts of Pakistan, prompting police action and investigations.

In Rajanpur, a landlord allegedly cut off a cow’s leg after it entered a maize field. Police confirmed that a case has been registered against the landlord and his employees at Kot Mithan police station.

In a separate incident in Jacobabad, a donkey was seriously injured after being attacked with an axe for entering a house. According to the SSP, a case was registered on the complaint of the animal’s owner, and the accused farmer has been arrested.

Meanwhile, in Lahore, authorities have launched an investigation after a video showing the skinning of a dead lion went viral on social media. The Chief Wildlife Ranger has formed a team led by the Deputy Chief Wildlife Ranger Lahore Region to probe the incident.

A police spokesperson said the wildlife team will trace those involved and ensure legal action against the suspects.
