Hajj 2027: Government Scheme Costs Announced

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced the estimated costs and payment schedule for pilgrims intending to perform Hajj under the government scheme in 2027.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said the cost of the 40 to 42-day long Hajj package would be approximately Rs1.2 million, while the 20 to 22-day short Hajj package would cost around Rs1.3 million.

He said the first instalment of Hajj expenses would be collected from August 17, while the second instalment would have to be deposited in the second week of October.

The minister clarified that financial transactions would only be made through the Pak Hajj App. Pilgrims opting for the private Hajj scheme would also be able to make payments through the app, while private pilgrims would be free to select any company from the available online operators.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf further said 30,000 seats had been allocated for the short Hajj package under the government scheme.

He added that people who could not perform Hajj in 2027 would be placed on the waiting list for the following year.
