Karachi Robbery Suspects Arrested in Jhang, Stolen Gold and Cash Recovered

KARACHI: Police have arrested suspects involved in a major jewelry shop theft in Karachi’s Saddar area from Jhang, recovering a significant amount of stolen valuables.
According to police, a case of burglary was registered on the complaint of the shop owner. The complainant stated that he had closed his shop as usual on the night of April 28, but was informed early the next morning that the shop shutter was open.
Upon inspection, he found that the safe was missing. He further reported that gold jewelry, silver, and cash worth Rs. 2 million had been stolen, along with his licensed pistol. Suspicion was also expressed regarding the shop’s watchman.
Asad Raza said that two accomplices of the main suspect have been arrested in connection with the case. He added that a large quantity of stolen gold and silver has been recovered from the suspects.
Police officials stated that the suspects had been residing in Karachi’s Lines Area prior to the incident and were later tracked down and arrested in Jhang. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend any remaining individuals involved.
