Workers Are the Backbone of Society’s Progress: Haji Mir Ali Madad Jatak on May Day

Quetta: Provincial Minister and member of the executive committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Haji Mir Ali Madad Jatak, paid tribute to workers on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, emphasizing their vital role in society’s development and stability.
In his special message, Jatak stated that workers are the backbone of any society’s progress, prosperity, and strength. He said that May 1 serves as a reminder of the sacrifices and struggles of laborers, and the need to renew commitment to protecting their fundamental rights.
He highlighted that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always been a strong advocate for workers’ rights, recalling the contributions of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto in advancing labor welfare and introducing historic reforms.
Jatak added that the current provincial government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, is taking practical steps to ensure better wages, safer working conditions, and social protection for workers.
He noted that the labor force has played an unforgettable role in the development of Balochistan, and the government remains committed to addressing workers’ issues, increasing employment opportunities, and improving their standard of living.
The provincial minister urged collective efforts to safeguard workers’ rights, support their legitimate demands, and ensure they are given the respect they deserve. He concluded by stating that the prosperity of workers is key to Pakistan’s overall progress and strength.
