CSS 2025 Final Results Announced: 170 Candidates Selected for Civil Services

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the final results of the CSS Competitive Examination 2025, selecting 170 candidates for various occupational groups in the civil service.
According to FPSC, the overall success rate remained extremely low at 2.67 percent, highlighting the highly competitive and challenging nature of the examination.
A total of 12,792 candidates appeared in the written examination, out of which only 355 candidates managed to qualify. From these, 170 individuals—comprising 84 men and 86 women—have been recommended for appointment in different civil service groups.
The FPSC confirmed that top-performing candidates demonstrated exceptional merit in the examination. Asid Rafiq secured first position, Muhammad Mohsin Khalid stood second, while Tariq Hafeez achieved third position.
According to the results, candidates ranked in the top 30 have been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Police Service. However, none of the top 30 candidates secured placement in the Foreign Service, which is being noted as a surprising outcome.
Province-wise distribution shows that 23 candidates in the top 30 belong to Punjab, while Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa contributed two candidates each, and Balochistan secured three positions.
The FPSC congratulated all successful candidates and expressed hope that they would perform their duties with integrity, merit, and professionalism. The commission also encouraged candidates who were not allocated due to limited vacancies despite qualifying the exam.
