Exercise, Therapy and Good Friends Essential for Mental Peace: Zara Noor Abbas

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas has sparked a fresh discussion on mental health after sharing a candid video on social media in which she spoke openly about her emotional struggles and coping strategies.
The video, recorded during a gym workout, highlighted her personal journey with mental health and the methods that helped her manage anxiety and emotional distress.
Zara Noor Abbas shared that for a long time she struggled to understand and accept her emotions, adding that therapy played a significant role in helping her cope with her mental challenges.
She clarified that routine household activities such as cooking or driving are not enough for mental well-being, stressing that “movement” means structured physical exercise like going to a gym or park.
The actress said she experiences a sense of relief and happiness during workouts, which she described as a “boost” for her mental health.
Offering a realistic perspective, she noted that people may never completely overcome depression but can learn to understand and live with it.
She advised people to identify their anxiety triggers and work on managing them effectively. She also emphasized simple yet effective coping methods, such as watching a good movie or talking to a trusted friend, which can significantly reduce mental stress.
Zara Noor Abbas, who has previously spoken about anxiety, spirituality, and postpartum depression, urged women not to compromise their health in pursuit of unrealistic beauty standards.
She added that if her message helps even one person, she would consider it a meaningful achievement.
