Gujranwala: Suspect in Wife and Daughter Murder Killed in Alleged Police Encounter

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — In Gujranwala, a suspect already in custody for the murder of his wife and three-year-old daughter was killed, along with an accomplice, in an alleged police encounter.
According to police, the suspects were being taken for the recovery of the murder weapon when armed associates attempted to free them near Pippan Khah by opening fire.
Police said both suspects were killed during the exchange of fire with their own accomplices. The incident comes two days after the brutal killing of the suspect’s wife and young daughter.
Authorities stated that the main accused, along with a neighbor, had allegedly killed his wife and child using a sharp-edged weapon.
Police further revealed that the suspect intended to remarry, which reportedly led to the tragic incident. Further investigation is underway.
