Pakistan Moves to Fully Digitize Passport and Immigration System

Islamabad: Pakistan has decided to fully digitize its passport and immigration system in a major step aimed at modernizing services and improving transparency.
The decision was discussed in a high-level meeting chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Director General of Immigration and Passports, where officials were briefed on ongoing efforts to upgrade the system on modern lines.
According to the briefing, work on the digital transformation is progressing rapidly. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, streamline processes, and provide citizens with faster and more efficient services.
As part of the plan, authorities will establish a state-of-the-art digital complaint center, enabling citizens to register complaints, queries, and issues around the clock through a mobile application.
Officials said the move will significantly improve the overall efficiency of passport and immigration services, ensuring better service delivery and greater convenience for the public.
