Iranian Foreign Minister Calls Pakistan Visit ‘Highly Productive’, Confirms Positive Talks

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has termed his recent visit to Pakistan as highly productive, saying that constructive consultations were held with Pakistani officials.
Speaking to Iranian media upon arrival in Moscow, Araghchi said he was visiting Russia to continue close coordination on regional and global issues. He confirmed that he is scheduled to meet Vladimir Putin, noting that the meeting would provide a valuable opportunity to review the ongoing conflict situation and recent developments.
He expressed confidence that continued consultation and coordination between Iran and Russia would remain significant.
Reflecting on his Islamabad visit, Araghchi said discussions with Pakistani authorities were positive and included a review of past developments and the specific conditions under which Iran-US negotiations could proceed.
He also revealed that during his visit to Oman, discussions were held regarding the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that Iran and Oman, as coastal states, must maintain coordination to ensure the security of this vital maritime route.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that cooperation between the two countries is essential, particularly as safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz has become a major global concern.
He added that there is a high level of understanding between Iran and Oman, and both sides have agreed to continue consultations at the expert level to safeguard their mutual interests.
