Karachi Police Encounters: One Robber Killed, Five Injured Arrested; Weapons Recovered

KARACHI: In a series of police encounters across different areas of the city, one robber was killed while five others were arrested in injured condition, police said on Thursday. Weapons, cash, mobile phones, and motorcycles were also recovered from their possession.
According to police, the incidents took place in Ferozabad, Super Market, Sharea Faisal (Sharifabad), and Mubina Town areas during routine patrolling and snap checking operations conducted late Wednesday night and early Thursday.
Ferozabad Encounter
Police and Shaheen Force personnel engaged in a shootout near Hil Park, Shahid-e-Millat Road, resulting in the killing of a suspect. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Usman alias Noor-ul-Bashir, also known as Usman Bengali. Another accomplice managed to escape.
Police recovered a pistol with bullets, cash, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle from the deceased. His criminal record is being traced, while raids are underway to arrest the fleeing suspect.
Super Market Police Action
In another encounter near Chona Depot, Lyari Nadi area, Super Market police arrested two injured suspects after a gunfight. The injured were identified as 24-year-old Sadaf Hussain and 22-year-old Imran.
Police recovered two pistols, bullets, cash, mobile phones, and a motorcycle from their possession. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Sharifabad Operation
Sharifabad police also arrested two injured suspects following an encounter near the FC Area railway line. The arrested men were identified as 45-year-old Ejaz and 42-year-old Muhammad Adnan.
Authorities recovered two pistols, ammunition, mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle from them. The suspects were also shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Mubina Town Encounter
In Mubina Town, police arrested one injured robber near Samama Bridge on University Road after a brief exchange of fire. The suspect was identified as 40-year-old Nadir.
A pistol with bullets, cash, and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession. He was shifted to hospital under police custody.
Police stated that further investigations are underway, and efforts are being made to trace the criminal networks linked to the arrested suspects.
