Lahore Tops the List of World’s Most Polluted Cities

Lahore: The capital of Punjab, **Lahore**, has been ranked as the **most polluted city in the world**, as smog and air pollution levels continue to worsen across the province.

In response to the deteriorating air quality, the **Punjab government** has made it **mandatory for motorbike riders to wear masks**. Senior Minister **Maryam Aurangzeb** stated that polluted air masses from various Indian cities are drifting toward **Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur**, and other regions of southern Punjab.

Citizens have been advised to **keep vehicle windows closed**, **shut doors and windows at home**, and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities. Construction sites and cargo transport vehicles have also been directed to follow **strict safety protocols**.

The minister urged the public to **play their part in combating smog** and reducing air pollution to prevent a broader health crisis.
