Kidnapping of Innocent Child in Quetta Sparks Outrage; PKMAP Demands Immediate Recovery

Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly condemned the kidnapping of an innocent child from the heart of Quetta and urged the government and police to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property beyond mere verbal commitments.
Senior party leaders, including Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Provincial President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan, and Quetta District Deputy Secretary Naim Khan Achakzai, visited the residence of party member Muheebullah and expressed deep sorrow over the abduction of his young son, Mazmal Khan.
The party leadership strongly condemned the incident and demanded the immediate recovery of the kidnapped child.
According to the statement, the child was abducted on April 15, 2026, at around 7:00 PM from Street No. 1 in Sadar Town, East Bypass area of Quetta. The kidnappers reportedly contacted the victim’s father via WhatsApp and demanded a ransom of 60,000 US dollars for his release, threatening to kill and dismember the child if the payment was not made.
PkMAP termed the incident a grave failure of law enforcement agencies and said that such crimes have created fear and insecurity among the public. The party urged authorities to trace the kidnappers, bring them to justice, and ensure the safe recovery of Mazmal Khan without delay.
The leadership further stressed that incidents of kidnapping for ransom highlight the deteriorating security situation in the city and called for immediate and effective action to restore public confidence.
