Doctor Shot Dead in Karachi; Trader Injured in Separate Firing Incident

In Karachi, unidentified gunmen shot and killed a doctor near Shara-e-Faisal in the Metropole area, police said.
According to the Deputy Inspector General (South), the victim, identified as Dr. Sarang, was traveling in a rickshaw with his wife when armed assailants arrived in a car, opened fire, and fled the scene. Authorities stated that the attackers had been पीछाing the couple prior to the incident.
Dr. Sarang was employed at a private hospital near Gulistan-e-Johar Chorangi. Police said further details are being collected from the victim’s wife as part of the ongoing investigation.
In a separate incident, a trader was injured in a shooting in New Karachi’s Sector 11-B. Officials revealed that the victim had received an extortion note some time ago, raising concerns about targeted violence in the area.
