Government Taking Steps to Stabilize Fuel Prices: Petroleum Minister

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has said the government is taking measures to stabilize fuel prices and maintain balance in the petroleum sector.
In an interview, Malik thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for continued support to the petroleum sector, stating that efforts are underway to reduce the impact of rising fuel costs on the public.
He noted that despite global economic pressures caused by ongoing conflicts, Pakistan’s situation remains comparatively better than many other countries. He added that the government is prioritizing relief for the common man while working to manage fuel price pressures.
The minister emphasized that policies are being shaped with a focus on public relief and ensuring stability in the petroleum sector.
It is worth noting that recently Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved a reduction of Rs32.12 per litre in diesel prices, bringing it down from Rs385.54 to Rs353.42, while petrol prices remained unchanged.
On the occasion, the prime minister stated that the benefits of reduced oil prices would be passed on to the public as quickly as possible.
