Two Killed, Four Injured in Wedding Dispute Shooting in Karachi

A violent incident near Gulshan-e-Memar in Karachi left two people dead and four others injured after a dispute at a wedding ceremony escalated into gunfire, police said.

According to authorities, an argument broke out among relatives during the wedding event in Dhani Bux Goth. Family members intervened at the time and managed to defuse the situation, bringing the altercation to an end.

However, police stated that despite the apparent resolution, tensions resurfaced the following day when one party allegedly opened fire at the rival group’s residence. As a result, two individuals lost their lives.

The deceased were identified as Jalal Gul and Behram Gul, while the injured included Nauman, Muhammad Irshad, Mushring Khan, and Watan Gul. The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and legal formalities.

Police confirmed the arrest of the suspect, identified as Wasif, who was allegedly involved in the shooting. Authorities also recovered a .30 bore pistol and a 9mm handgun from his possession. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
