Iran Rejects Reports of Transferring Enriched Uranium to US

Tehran: Iran has strongly denied reports suggesting it is willing to hand over its enriched uranium to the United States.

Spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, stated that transferring enriched uranium to the United States has never been an option for Tehran. He dismissed such claims as false and misleading, emphasizing that Iran will not move its enriched uranium to any other country under any circumstances.

Baghaei’s remarks came in response to recent statements by former US President Donald Trump, who claimed that Iran had agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons.

Speaking to journalists, Trump also alleged that Iran was prepared to hand over its damaged stockpile of enriched uranium to the United States—claims that Iranian officials have now categorically rejected.

Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and has opposed any external control over its nuclear materials.
