Islamabad Orders New Timings: Shops, Markets to Close at 8 PM

Islamabad: The administration of Islamabad has issued a new notification setting revised operating hours for markets, shops, and shopping malls across the federal capital.
According to the notification, all shops, markets, and shopping malls will now close at 8:00 PM. However, certain essential services including medical stores, hospitals, petrol pumps, and dairy shops have been exempted from the restriction.
Restaurants, hotels, bakeries, grocery stores, butcher shops, and fruit and vegetable outlets will be allowed to remain open until 10:00 PM. Takeaway and home delivery services will continue without any restriction.
The notification further states that all weddings halls, marquees, and private events must conclude by 10:00 PM. Private gatherings will also be required to end by the same time limit.
In addition, gyms, clubs, and sports facilities will be closed at 8:00 PM. Authorities clarified that the new timings are effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
